Arkham attributed the sharp increase in TPS to the integration of the second-layer solution Lighter.
It uses zero-knowledge rollups (ZK), designed to increase network throughput. Base remains the second-fastest second-layer solution, processing 100-300 transactions per second.
The average daily TPS in the Ethereum ecosystem reached 325 yesterday, November 2, compared to 250 at the beginning of the year. Upcoming network upgrades, such as PeerDAS, are expected to further increase Ethereum's throughput.
Arkham noted the recent increase in the Ethereum network's block gas limit from 45 million to 60 million. This change took effect on November 25, after validator approval. This change doubled the blockchain's throughput compared to last year's figures.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently called decentralization the network's core operating principle, stating that traders' mistrust of centralized exchanges has been exacerbated by data leaks and hacks.
