The Tariff Commission of the State Council of China said on Wednesday it would suspend an additional 24% duty on American goods for a period of one year
At the same time, it will maintain a 10% fee as part of measures to implement agreements reached during recent trade consultations between China and the United States.
According to an official statement, the adjustment was approved by the State Council and will take effect from 13:01 local time on November 10, 2025.
The Commission said that the continued suspension of certain bilateral tariffs is aimed at promoting the "healthy, stable and sustainable development" of trade and economic relations between China and the United States, which will benefit the peoples of both countries.
